As 2025 comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on the heaviness we face — in my own life, in the lives of those I care about, and in the stories that flood our newsfeeds. Perhaps you can relate? Some situations simply can’t be lifted by optimism or encouraging words.
Followers of Jesus don’t have to pretend this weight isn’t real. As one theologian writes, “In the biblical worldview even when sin is devastatingly familiar, it is never normal. It is alien. It doesn’t belong in God’s world.” We rightly grieve the diagnosis, the disappointment, the injustice.
Yet that is not the end of the story. Jesus has come — and will come again — to make all things new. While we wait for that final day, we’re invited to live in right relationship with God and one another. What a hope we carry, and what a hope God longs to offer our weary world: a more truer, more beautiful story than what we often see and feel.
Your partnership helps extend this hope to students across the Northeast, writing new stories of God’s work on campuses, like Josh and Noah’s at Rutgers University:
Josh and his best friend, Noah, grew up side-by-side from childhood through college, sharing both life and similar patterns of sin. Faith was the one thing they couldn’t talk about. But after Josh met Jesus, he began quietly praying for Noah, asking God to draw his friend into the same freedom he had found. Over time, God softened Noah’s heart and opened doors for conversations that had once felt impossible. At this year’s fall retreat, Josh had the incredible honor of baptizing his childhood best friend. A friendship once marked by shared brokenness has become a testimony of God’s redemption.
Thank you for helping offer this hope to the next generation and for enabling us to care for the Chi Alpha missionaries who serve them. As we look toward 2026, we pray God will continue to open doors and raise up missionaries to plant new ministries across the hundreds of campuses in the Northeast — because there is not a single campus that isn’t in need of hope.
May God fill you with hope, joy, and peace, as you rest in His promises!

![]() October: I had the opportunity to lead a 2-day prayer retreat for female ministers in the Potomac district of the AG. We walked through practices such as contemplative prayer, the examen, and having a rule of life. It was humbling to get to invest in an incredible group of women! ![]() October: Attended the first-ever Asian American Christian Collaborative Conference with a few other Asian American Chi Alpha staff ladies! This was helpful for us to dream about how to grow and minister as Asian Americans, as well as to Asian Americans. |

| Pray with us Student SALT Conference in early January. Pray for students to encounter Jesus and for hearts to be stirred toward His redemptive mission. God seems to often use these conferences to speak to students in a unique way – I went to my very first one in 2013 and it changed the trajectory of my walk with Jesus! For laborers. As we endeavor to bring exposure to opportunities on campuses in the Northeast, pray for more laborers! In particular, we continue to pray for urban contexts where long-term ministry is challenging and more expensive. Continued wisdom for leadership. We are still in a season of restructuring! Pray for wisdom, unity, and clarity as leaders make decisions that will shape the future of our organization. Renewed hope and vision. In the midst of a lot of heaviness, Ben and I would love your prayers for a renewed vision for what God is doing as we enter a new year! Year-end giving As 2025 comes to a close, would you consider a year-end gift? Your gift helps care for Chi Alpha missionaries, plant new ministries, and bring the hope of Jesus to college students across the Northeast.
